By profession, she worked in mortgage compliance and was a freelance copyeditor before becoming a full-time content creator for organizations such as FAIR and Scripture Central. A voracious reader, she loved studying the Gospel and the history of the restored Church. After watching some of her friends lose their testimonies, she became interested in helping others through their faith crises and began sharing what she learned through her studies.
