And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. Hebrews 2꞉3-4 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? Note: signs may be given according to God’s will, not on skeptic’s demand.	Deuteronomy 13꞉1-3 If there arise among a prophet...and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, and the sign or wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee saying, Let us go after other gods which thou hast not known, and let us serve them, thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet... for the LORD your God proveth you to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul. Deuteronomy 18꞉20-22 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. Matthew 24꞉24 For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Note: Given this list of Bible tests for prophets, consider signs or miracles as part of the evidence, not the whole of it.
John 10꞉41 And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true.
